We Belong - Traffic and Crossing Safety

As our school grows, traffic increases and parking becomes more of a problem.

Park the car away from the school surrounds and walk a bit - it is good for you, your children and the environment!

There are rules governing the use of school crossings and they should be taught to children from an early age, but until they are about 10 or 11, children should still be closely supervised near traffic and when crossing the road. Our three crossings (Kent Road, Derby Street and Sussex Street) are supervised during peak times. Follow the supervisor's instructions, know and teach your children the road rules and always be VERY cautious when crossing roads anytime.

The video below is a good way to introduce and reinforce crossing use with children.
