We Experience - Parents Getting Involved

Pascoe Vale North Primary School invites you to participate in school life.

There are many ways to get involved including Parents Association, School Council, Classroom Helpers Program, PMP (Perceptual Motor Program), Information Sessions, Classroom Assistance Programs, Working Bees, and School Council sub-committees such as Buildings and Grounds, OSHC, Finance and Fundraising, or by attending our special activity days.

Persons involved in the school will need to apply for a Working with Children Check (WWC). Once processed at an Australia Post outlet, this means they will have a WWC ID card to carry with them when helping out in the school. An application form for Working With Children Check can be obtained from any Post Office or the school office and are free for volunteer helpers. You can also go to www.justice.vic.gov.au/workingwithchildren or ring 1300 652 879.

Parent Helpers are welcome and most appreciated. If you are able to help in the classroom please see your child’s teacher. The school offers a Parent Helpers training program each year. The Parent Helpers training will be held in Term 1. Sessions are usually conducted over three consecutive Tuesdays. Parents need to be able to attend all three sessions. Unfortunately, we are not able to cater for babies /toddlers at these sessions. Refer to newsletter or contact the office for further information.

All parent helpers are required to sign in at the office.
